Apparently a deal has been signed for the right to publish
new novels based on Zelazny's Amber, set before the novels
we all know and love take place. It's going to be published
by ibooks, and is supposed to be a trilogy, called the Dawn
of Amber Trilogy. It'll start with a book called Nine Princes
in Chaos, which is scheduled to be published in September of
2002.

I don't know who Michael and Joe were referring to, but I read this news in
September on alt.books.roger-zelazny. Supposedly at least one of the books
was to be from Oberon's point of view. The author was named as John
Betancourt, who has written a number of Star Trek books. His bibliography

I don't know where the poster to a.b.r-z (Scott Zrubek, maintainer of
www.roger-zelazny.com) got his information either, but he's generally
reliable.
